Nice place for a quiet walk. Take in the scenery and view the wildlife.
This place is fantastic! It has a nice path for walking/biking, and spans over 3 miles, so it is great for those who want both a casual walk or bikeride, as well as those who want something longer and more challenging. It is beautiful and fairly quiet. Good for taking pictures. And there are benches at a couple of points to sit and take in the view. A calm place for fishing as well.
Relaxing. Bring bug spray after 5 pm. Trail is paved but has a lot of root lifted areas. Mountain bike is a much better ride on it than a hybrid or rode bike - shocks help.
Frequently used by locals for running and biking without a dealing with cars. The trail is a little too rough for a road bike, but acceptable for a mountain/fitness bike.
Great area to go on walks. Flat and paved with Connecticut River on the East and the Windsor Locks Canal on the West. Bird watching and fishing.
